最终对象是「主 / 祢」，即神（第2段明写十架的道路，副歌明写「主」），全歌是向神告白跟随的决心。

「我」是在向神回应，还是围绕自己展开？Is the “I” responding to God, or centered on itself?

「我」是向神说话、回应神：多次说「跟随祢脚步」「十架的道路」「主我愿意 献上自己」「回应祢」，是回应式的第一人称，不是围绕自己展开。

盼望、依据、拯救的来源在哪里？Where do hope, grounding and salvation come from?

盼望与依据最终在神：祢的恩典一定够用、祢的爱不能隔绝、权柄在祢手里，也求神「给我勇气」而不是靠自己。
